On July 20th,
2024, Aubrey, her two siblings, and their father were involved in a tragic vehicle accident in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. The accident claimed the lives of her sister, Emma, and her brother, Grant, leaving 11-year-old Aubrey in critical condition. Aubrey’s mother witnessed the horrific event from a few hundred feet away, helplessly praying for a different outcome.
Despite the unimaginable loss of her siblings and father and the severe injuries she sustained, Aubrey remains one of the kindest and sweetest souls, still managing to smile through the pain and suffering. Aubrey has undergone numerous surgeries and faces more medical treatments ahead. Initially, doctors feared she wouldn’t survive the airlift from the accident scene. She is now battling severe injuries including Traumatic Brain Injury, brain bleed, multiple fractures, and breaks (collarbone, clavicle, shoulder blade, elbow, forearm, several vertebrae, nose, and eye socket), as well as internal damage to her liver and pancreas, and a collapsed lung.
We were honored to meet Aubrey while she was in the hospital. Aubrey is sunshine in the darkness of tragedy. Yesterday she came home and we were able to present her with her dream of going to see Taylor Swift and visiting Disney World. All of this is thanks to a wonderful donor to Jamie’s Dream Team.
are hoping that #TaylorSwift sees this article about #AubreyStrong and #GivesHerThe22Hat at the concert. Please share to make that happen!!
